2023 Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The AGM of the Royal Dublin Fusiliers Association for 2023 was held on 8 December 2023.  The Meeting adopted the Association’s Financial Statement for the year ended 25 April 2023 and the Secretary’s Report of Activities for 2023.  The Meeting elected Brian Moroney as Chairman, Sally Keogh as Treasurer, Thomas Murphy as Secretary and another nine persons as trustees of the Association for 2024.  The 2024 membership fee was set at €20 for all members.  Members may wish to read about the proceedings of the 2023 AGM in more detail by consulting the draft minutes.

Charities Governance Code

As a registered charity (no. 20038816) with responsibilities to members and the wider public, the Association’s trustees are mindful of the requirements of the Charities Governance Code (https://www.charitiesregulator.ie/media/1609/charities-governance-code.pdf) which came into effect in 2021.  The trustees are satisfied that the Association remains fully compliant with the Code. 

The Association’s Constitution and Code of Conduct for Trustees underpin its work.

Membership and Communications

Persons who wish to join the Association or renew their existing membership are invited to complete the Application/Renewal Form  For the modest annual fee of €20, members receive informative newsletters (The Old Tough) and an annual journal (The Blue Cap), and they may participate in Association events (subject to availability).  Recent editions of The Old Tough and The Blue Cap may be viewed on the Periodicals and Essays section of www.greatwar.ie.
